Focus and Scope

Jurnal Teknologi, Kesehatan, dan Sosial (JUTEKS) is a platform for Universitas Bumigora students to publish interdisciplinary research and ideas that integrate technology, health, and social sciences. The journal accepts manuscripts presenting original studies, systematic reviews, or case reports relevant to current challenges and solutions in modern society.

Main domains (including, but not limited to):

  • Technology & Engineering: artificial intelligence (AI/ML), information systems, cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), software engineering, big data, health technology applications, and educational technology innovation.
  • Health & Health Policy: public health, nursing, epidemiology, telemedicine, healthcare management, community interventions, and digital health technologies.
  • Social Sciences & Education: sociology, public policy, anthropology, communication studies, social psychology, education and program evaluation, social impact of technology.
  • Interdisciplinary & Applied Research: studies bridging two or more domains — e.g., data analytics for public health, digital policy for healthcare services, or social evaluation of technological innovation.

Types of articles accepted:

  • Research articles (original research)
  • Review articles (systematic / literature reviews)
  • Case studies & practice reports
  • Short communications / technical notes
  • Feature articles on research methodology or technology applications in local contexts

Language & Editorial Policy

  • Languages: English (Indonesian abstracts may be provided if required).
  • Peer-review system: Double-blind peer review by at least two expert reviewers.
  • Criteria: Originality, contribution to knowledge, clear methodology, compliance with research ethics.
  • Publication frequency: Semiannually (twice a year) — check current issue for confirmation.

Aims & Objectives

  • Encourage students to conduct high-quality and locally relevant scientific research.
  • Bridge disciplines to create holistic solutions to societal challenges.
  • Enhance students’ research literacy through writing, peer review, and publication processes.
  • Disseminate research findings that can be adapted by practitioners, policymakers, and academic communities.

Author Guidelines (Short)

  1. Follow the standard manuscript structure: title, abstract, keywords, introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, references.
  2. Citation style: IEEE (numbers in square brackets). Example: [1].
  3. Manuscript length: research articles 3,000–6,000 words; short communications 1,000–2,500 words.
  4. Submit manuscripts via the OJS system of this journal.
  5. Ensure compliance with research ethics (including ethical clearance where applicable).
