SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS PERGURUAN TINGGI DI KOTA PADANG BERBASIS ANDROID

Abstract

Nowadays, the development of communication and information technology affects all aspects of life. One example is the development of smartphone’s feature and operation system, such as android. Global Position System (GPS) is one of the feature that use as navigation. There are more than 34 colleges in Padang, West Sumatera. The purpose of this paper is to implement Geographic Information System by using GPS technology and adapting waterfall methodology. This system give facility for user to find college’s information and location in Padang by using their own smartphone.
