Abstract

Comprehensive calculation of motion is a clinical method for the examination of motion in the therapeuticintervention for patients with frozen shoulder. Application of Kinect in the field of virtual rehabilitation for patientswith frozen shoulder provide an alternative way for people with frozen shoulder to monitor the development ofextensive motion independently without the help of physiotherapy. In this study, the authors tried to implement acomprehensive measurement of motion of the shoulder joint using Kinect using joint intersection of the data skeletontracking. Comprehensive measurement of motion performed on eight motions of the shoulder joint in the position ofmaking static images are frontal and sagittal. The survey results revealed that the joint angle measurements of theshoulder joint in the frontal plane is better than joint angle measurements in the plane of the shoulder joint sagittal
