Abstract

This paper presents deployment of Android application which is used to control the movement of a mobile robot that can monitor images from the IP Cam attached. Smartphone can set the direction of the robot movement via Bluetooth and pictures of IP Cam received by WiFi nets. Previous research requires a smartphone to control a mobile robot and a Personal Computer or Laptop to monitor images from the IP Cam. Smartphone sends the code via bluetooth processed by Arduino to drive the motor so that the mobile robot move according to the command. To display the image on the screen, Smartphone and IP Cam must use the same WiFi network. The test results indicate that the Smartphone Applicaton Compact can control the motion of a mobile robot without any delay. Images displayed unstable because it is influenced by the light intensity and the density of WiFi networks.
