The Role of Time Management on Behavior and Perception with Qualitative Descriptive
Abstract
Universitas Mikroskil has 19 student organizations (ormawa). Problems that occur in student
organizations of Universitas Mikroskil are obstacles from the administrative side such as
delays in submitting proposals and reporting activities which result in delays/specially delays
in funding process to issues of morality and management (senior intervention to regeneration)
of each ormawa and time management itself. This study aims to determine and analyze the
condition of ormawa in Universitas Mikroskil in conducting student organization so that
student’s perceptions and behavior can be identified, and this part it the novelty of this
research. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive survey method with a
purposive sampling technique involving the core committee and active members of the
division from total of 152 student organizations within Universitas Mikroskil as a sample. The
data analysis method used in this study is simple linear regression analysis. The results of the
partial test (t test) shows that the time management variable has a positive effect on the
behavior and perceptions of students at the Universitas Mikroskil Student organization. The
Adjusted R2 value of the time management variable on student behavior was obtained by
44.8%, while the adjusted R2 value variable for the time management variable for the time
management variable on student perception was obtained by 32.8% and the remaining 55.2%
and 67.2% were influenced by variables others that were not examined in this study. And as
author, additional variable needs to adjust for the next research and observe the fact from
student affairs with the latest updated do to several changes in current organizational
management.
